CRUCIFIED CHRIST, CORPUS

A subtle, finely modelled corpus of the crucified Christ in a "Y" shape, head with half-closed eyelids, slightly wavy hair and a parted beard, wreathed with a crown of thorns, tilted towards the right shoulder; palms and insteps pierced by nails, the right foot laid over the left instep. Wood without polychromy, the gathered and fully gilded loincloth is tied on the left hip, H. 31 cm, W. 18.5 cm, fitted with a hanger.

Gilding worn in places, localised mechanical damage.
