Comprises the following parts: Part 1 (Decretum Gratiani): 52 unnumbered preliminary leaves (preface, indexes), 1,280 numbered columns of text (with two columns printed per page, this amounts to 640 pages); Part 2 (Decretales Gregorii IX.): 10 unnumbered preliminary leaves, 754 numbered columns of text (377 pages); Part 3 (Liber sextus, Clementinae, Extravagantes): 3 unnumbered leaves, 404 numbered columns of text (202 pages); Part 4 (Liber VII. Decretalium, Institutiones Lancellotti, and the main indexes): 34 unnumbered leaves + 2 separate leaves, 236 numbered columns of text (118 pages), 5 unnumbered leaves + 3 further leaves, 158 numbered columns of supplementary material (79 pages) + 2 final columns. Printed by the brothers Emanuel and Johann Rudolf Thurneysen in Basel in 1717. Full leather binding with rich blind-tooled decoration and 2 clasps (not preserved), spine with 4 raised bands and a label with gilt lettering, red edges. Ownership inscriptions on the front flyleaf. Slightly damaged by woodworm, clasps missing, overall good condition given the age of the volume.
