Format 4°, 25.5 x 19.7 cm, 26 numbered pages, in Czech. Translated from the medieval Latin original by Oldřich Novotný. Firm individually made binding with a paper covering imitating leather, chemise, cardboard slipcase, executed by the bindery of Jiří Fogl, marked on the back pastedown with a blind stamp. The original wrapper is bound in. Title page in the form of a woodcut by Josef Váchal, printed in black. Contains a further three full-page woodcuts, eight smaller ones (vignettes, headpieces), five Gothic initials, and twelve vignettes accompanying the initials, all by the same artist. The original wrapper is likewise a design by Josef Váchal. Front pastedown with the bookplate of Jiří Kačer. Published in 1910 by Vilém Bitnar in Prague in an edition of 250 copies, at the expense of Revue meditace. This copy is not numbered. Binding intact, text block - paper foxed in places.
