Gelatin silver print on matte paper, printed in 1943. 38.1x28.5 cm. Mounted on card 49.5x34.1 cm. Signed in pencil lower right below the image, on the mount. The photograph comes from the portfolio Moderní česká fotografie [Modern Czech Photography], Album of Ten Original Photographs. The foreword was written by Karel Teige. Published by Národní práce, Prague. The album contained enlargements from original negatives by Josef Sudek, Josef Ehm, Jaromír Funke, Miroslav Hák and Karel Plicka. Two photographs by each artist were included in the album. The album was published in 1943 in an edition of 55 copies. Faint silvering visible in the dark areas. Another copy is held in the collection of the MAG (Memorial Art Gallery, University of Rochester), Accession Number: 2019.19.
