Size 12°, 15,3x11,5 cm, 13 numbered pp. (foreword by Arne Novák), further unpaginated, in Czech. Board binding with original dust jacket. Title page printed in black. The publication contains 95 full-page woodcut illustrations (+ title page + dust jacket). Published by nakladatelství Orbis in Prague in November 1929 in a print run of 10 copies numbered and signed on genuine Japan paper, 50 numbered on Ullersdorf paper and a popular edition, to which this copy belongs. The graphic novel by Helena Bochořáková-Dittrichová, who is considered the first lady of this literary genre. The National Museum of Women in the Arts in New York described her work as the first drawn (graphic) novel created by a woman. Slightly frayed dust jacket with minor tears at the edges, lower right corner of the binding frayed, on its lower edge a minor stain (also on the dust jacket), upper edge of the spine has a slightly damaged corner, 1 leaf ca 0.5 cm torn, otherwise very good condition.
