Published by the author in Prague in May 1933 as the VIth volume of Edition 69 in an edition of 69 numbered and signed copies; this copy numbered 15. Issued as a strictly private edition for the publisher’s circle of friends and for subscribed collectors. The pictorial supplement consists of 10 bromide silver photographs of approximately 9.5 × 7.5 cm pasted into the book. Signature of J. Štyrský beneath the colophon. Binding slightly rubbed, spine mildly worn, pages occasionally slightly soiled. During the rebinding the trimming of the edges cut into the page numbering. As the photographs were originally attached only lightly with gum arabic, they tended to come loose. The grandfather of the present owner, who obtained the book directly as a subscriber, later reinforced the photographs, probably with gelatin; some photographs are slightly soiled from this reversible adhesive, and some have slightly damaged corners. Slight silvering in the darker areas, particularly visible under raking light. Despite these minor flaws, the copy is complete and extremely rare.
