Size 8°, 19 × 14 cm. 143 numbered pages, in French. Title page printed in black. Soft sewn binding. Published by Le Soleil Noir, Paris, 1970. Edition: 99 copies on Arches vellum paper, including 6 drypoints printed on silk by the Lacourière-Frelaut printing house. Three hundred copies were printed on Sirène offset paper as part of the Soleil Noir “Club” series. These copies are signed and numbered C 1–C 300; the present copy numbered C4. The book is housed in a case designed by Toyen, formed from expanded polystyrene and enclosed in a transparent plastic cover from the atelier of Jean Duval. The case bears a relief by Toyen. A further 2,350 copies were printed on Sirène offset paper and numbered 301–2650. Plastic and polystyrene casing damaged, otherwise excellent condition, some sheets uncut.
