DRAGOON SABRE

Austria-Hungary / Carské Russia, around 1890
Slightly curved blade with wide fuller on both sides, marked "JOH. ZELINKA WIEN". Bronze guard numbered "31". Grip covered with fish leather and wire. Wooden scabbard covered with black lacquered leather, bronze fittings for hanging, numbered on hook "31". Blade length 74 cm. Total length 90 cm. Condition B. It is a very interesting weapon, type and assembly is characteristic for the Russian environment, Cossack type of hanging, Dragoon guard, grip typical for the Austro-Hungarian army, made by the Viennese armourer..
