Half-chiming pillar clock of black stained wood with enamel dial. Gilded figure of Cupid holding his hand on the head of an eagle at the top.The eagle, as a symbol of victory, is surpassed here by the symbol of love, meaning love conquers all, even time. 52x26x14 cm. Condition corresponding to the age. Minor damage around the winding holes on the dial, bronze re-gilded sculpture of Cupid. Complete with key and pendulum. Movement unknown.
