A PAIR OF WALL PLATES

A pair of flat wall plates made of soft stoneware with high relief decoration featuring a motif of a small seated satyr playing a flute, or lifting a cup of wine, glazed in warm reddish-brown tones. Publ. in: A. Kalinová, Příběh keramiky z Olomučan, Blansko 2017, p. 137. diameter 31 cm and 31,5 cm. Impressed mark „SCHÜTZ BLANSKO“ and model no. "492", or "MADE IN AUSTRIA" in an oval, letter G with an archer (goods for foreign countries) and model no. "492". Condition A-B. Bigger plate with small chip on the reverse side under the rim.
