A PAIR OF WALL PLATES

Moravia, Olomučany, Gebrüder Schütz, last quarter of the 19th century
Two large wall plates with relief decoration of hunting motifs, featuring scenes of deer with does in the countryside, wide rims with identical monochromatic bands with historizing ornamentation, hunting scenes, and putto figures. Soft stoneware, glazed in brownish tones, rims in petroleum blue. diameter 34,3 cm and 34,6 cm. Impressed mark "MADE IN AUSTRIA", or "SCHÜTZ BLANSKO" in an oval and model no. "636". Condition A-B. Bigger plate with several small chips on foot.
