Rectangular porcelain plaque with a colorfully painted scene based on the self-portrait of the French painter Élisabeth Vigée-Lebrun (1755-1842) with her daughter Jeanne Julie Louise Le Brun (1780-1819) from 1789. Set in a decorative carved and gilded frame in Rococo style. Plaque 15x10,5 cm, frame 35x25 cm. Brown-red printed circular mark on the verso "MADE IN GERMANY", inscription "Mme Lebrun und Tochter.", remnants of two inventory labels. Condition A-B. Restored frame.
