BIEDERMEIER CUP

Bohemia, around 1830
Bell-shaped beaker of colourless glass, mould-blown and cut. The bowl terminates in a plain stepped neck and is decorated around the circumference with four medallions, three filled with fine diamond cutting, while the fourth is left plain. The medallions are interconnected by wavy bands and complemented by smaller triangular panels with delicate diamond cutting. The broad lower part with scalloped foot is faceted; the base cut with a simple star. H. 12,8 cm. Unmarked. Condition C.
