TWO BIEDERMEIER CUPS

Bohemia, 2nd quarter of the 19th century
Two bell-shaped beakers of colourless glass, the edges and smaller panels overlaid with blue glass, respectively with rosalin and blue glass producing a violet effect, and cut. Both beakers are hexagonal; the larger with characteristic protrusions to the foot and collar and with the initials “WAS.” engraved to the front, the smaller with three circular lenses around the bowl linked by a wavy ornament, and with a star-cut underside to the foot. H. 12 and 10,5 cm. Unmarked. Condition B.
