TWO BIEDERMEIER CUPS

Bohemia, 2nd third of the 19th century
Bell-shaped beaker of uranium glass, mould-blown and cut, the exterior faceted, with a plain stepped neck and scalloped foot; painted around the rim and circumference with ruby stain and finely wheel-cut (floral motifs), the neck with a gilded border. Neck restored. Bell-shaped goblet of colourless glass overlaid with opaque white and cobalt blue, cut back, further enriched with gilded borders and stars, and with silver floral painting on three foliate motifs around the bowl. H. 10,5 cm and 14,2 cm. Unmarked. Condition B.
