FOLK JUG WITH ARCHITECTURE
West Slovakia, Sobotiště, around 1830
Pear-shaped faience jug with a wide mouth and pulled handle, white-glazed and painted in manganese. The front with two chinoiserie architectural motifs placed one above the other, each with a tall tower and smoking chimneys, flanked by small sprigs; the neck with a manganese wavy line. Cf. H.
