PAIR OF PEWTER CANDLESTICKS

Central Europe, 3rd quarter of the 18th century
Altar candlesticks in Rococo form, a baluster shaft terminated by a dish-shaped candle holder is set on a tripartite, relief-decorated base with paw feet, parts screwed together with a central pin. Pewter, H. 58 cm, W. 18 cm. Pewterer`s marks "S. W. FEIN ZINN" with an anchor. Condition C. Provenance: from the collection of PhDr. Miroslav Boček (1915–2005).
