TWO PEWTER CANDLESTICKS

Central Europe, 3rd quarter of the 18th century
Two altar candlesticks in Rococo form, a baluster shaft terminated by a dish-shaped candle holder is set on a tripartite, relief-decorated base with paw feet, parts screwed together with a central pin. Pewter, H. 58 cm, W. 17.5 cm and H. 73 cm, W. 25.5 cm. Unmarked, surface tarnished, the shaft of the larger candlestick is tilted. Condition C.
