Format 2°, 32.8 x 25.5 cm, 20 pp. Combination of print (lithographed keyboard supplement) and manuscript (remainder of the book). Title page written by hand in blackish-brown oak-gall ink. Firm boards binding. A composite volume combining the official printed Viennese supplement with a complete handwritten manuscript. Contains a folding lithograph depicting the keyboard (Abbildung der Klaviatur) on heavy printing paper from the production of Tobias Haslinger. The theoretical text and musical exercises are a complete manuscript transcription by an unknown pupil, on a different, cotton-fibre paper, with individually ruled staves and written in German Kurrent script. For collectors, an extraordinary document of period musical practice and vernacular scribal tradition.
