Half-leather binding by Karel Dudešek: spine of brown goatskin with 5 false raised bands and gilt lettering, parchment corners, boards covered with artist`s paper, coloured headband. Wrapper bound in at the end of the book. Published by Hugo Kosterka in Prague in 1902 as vol. XVIII of the series Symposion: Knihy nové doby. Several first and last leaves including the wrapper have stains, two leaves slightly stuck together, binding partly faded, otherwise good condition. Honoré de Balzac: Gobseck. Size 8°, 18,6x13,5 cm. 82 numbered pp., in Czech, translated by Jaroslav Zaorálek. Title page printed in black and red. Decorated with 4 two-colour woodcuts and a title vignette by J. Konůpek. Half-leather binding by Karel Dudešek: spine with 4 double raised bands and gilt lettering, parchment corners, boards covered with embossed paper, gilt top edge. Wrapper not bound in. Published by Arno Sáňka in Brno in May 1925 as vol. 4 of the library "200" in a print run of 200 hand-numbered copies, of which the first 24 on genuine Japan paper and 176 on Zanders hand-made paper, this copy bears no. 197. Very good condition. Adelbert von Chamisso: Podivuhodný příběh Petra Schlemihla. Size 8°, 21,7x13,8 cm. 104 numbered pp., in Czech, translated by Jiří Konůpek. Title page printed in black and red. Wrapper and 16 illustrations by Jan Konůpek, his signature below the frontispiece. Half-leather binding by Karel Dudešek: spine of natural pigskin with 5 raised bands, boards covered with artist`s paper, headband, gilt top edge, on the rear pastedown marked with stamp "ATELIER DUDEŠEK PRAHA". Wrapper bound in at the end of the book. Published by Václav Petr in Prague in 1941 as vol. 117 of the series Atom. Very good condition.
