SILVER LUNAR POCKET WATCH

18th / 19th century
Rare historicizing open face pocket watch with silver champlevé engraved dial and day and night marker. The watch imitates rare pocket watches from the end of the 17th century, but the movement is already much more modern. Total (gross) weight 125,18 g, Ø 5 cm. Silver dial with Arabic and Roman numerals with blue enamel disk marking day and night, one black minute hand. Verge escapement, pierced balance cock. Cylindrical pillars. Marked on plate: "Angus ABERDEEN 8653". Condition C. Not working, soldered fastening of pivot of ballance wheel, loose pivot, otherwise running, including key in shape of a pistol.
