A PAIR OF VASES

China, Republic of China (1920-1930)
Two porcelain pear-shaped vases with thin funnel-widened neck on low foot. Color enamel painted male figure with inscription: 吴越钱武肃王 , Qian Liu (852-932), a warlord of the late Tang dynasty. On second vase Empress Wu Zetian (624-705), inscription: 偽周皇帝武璺. With wooden stands.
