CUP WITH ENGRAVING
Germany, Nuremberg, Anton Wilhelm Mäuerl (1672-1737) - attributed, 1st quarter of the 18th century
Cup made of colorless glass on low spherical stem with a flat and around the edges faceted foot, cut and engraved, slightly flattened bowl, in lower part decorated with cut facets and relief palmetto around the rim. Rich decoration of gallant couples, scrolls, ornaments and grotesque motifs in Rococo style, initials „JB(?)“ with a crown, French inscription on palmetto „Aucun tems / ne le change.“ (Not even time change it.), gilded rim.
Height 14 cm.
