PhDr. Tomáš Vlček, CSc. „[...] The still life is painted as a living tissue of dramatic opposites of brown and green tones. The arabesques of organic shapes of nature here in Kars`s painting recalls the influence of Paul Gauguin`s works. But at the same time it evokes in the dynamics of brushstrokes the motives and principles of French Fauvism, which Kars shared mainly with his contemporary André Derain.[...]“. Condition B/C.
