MILK JUG AND SAUCER
France, Paris, Atelier De Deroche, approx. 1810
A milk jug with an oval base, designed in Empire style, shaped like an inverted helmet with relief decoration and an elevated handle featuring a palmette and two intertwined snakes. Porcelain and biscuit, blue ground and gilding.
Together with: an oval porcelain dish (saucer) with an unglazed foliate band along the edge, gilded. Restored.
