Decorative porcelain plate in a historicising style with a polychrome painted scene of **“British Plenty”** after the engraving by Charles Knight (1743–c.1826) after Henry Singleton (1766–1839), 1794; the rim decorated with raised gilded borders.
Ø 24,5 cm.
Blue underglaze shield mark, impressed no. “19” (turner’s number: Johann Georg Krauss, 1785–1827) and two-digit date “95”.
Condition A/B.
In the MAK collections only a photograph is preserved of an identical plate from the property of Count Franz Clam-Gallas, which was exhibited at the Altwiener Porzellan-Ausstellung im k. k. Österreichischen Museum in Vienna in 1904 (inv. no. KI 7577-306: Teller mit der Darstellung "Der britannische Überfluß", 1795, Kaiserlich-königliche Porzellanmanufaktur Wien).
