Alois Lukášek (1911-1984)
LHOTKA
Oil on board, 55×80 cm (68×93 cm), signed lower right "Lukášek". Framed, glazed. The motif of the village green comes from the environment of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands, with which the work of Alois Lukášek was closely linked. The artist worked for an extended period in the vicinity of Nedvědice and Bystřice nad Pernštejnem, where he found inspiration in the architecture of small villages and their everyday beauty. The painting "Village Green – Lhotka" probably captures one of the small communities of this region, Lhotka (part of the municipality of Lísek) near Bystřice nad Pernštejnem, with a typical loosely arranged village green and farmsteads set into the rolling landscape of the Highlands. Condition A.
