PERSIAN STEEL PATA GAUNTLET

Persia, Second half of the 19th century
Persian steel gauntlet, wrought, gilded, l. 29 cm. Quajar dynasty period, remnants of rings for attachment to the armour along the edges, engraved scenes probably show a Muslim prayer and meditation of a court person or a warrior.
